2024 Summer Training Recap
On a crisp June morning, 47 educators from around the globe converged on our Berkeley campus, eager to cultivate their knowledge and passion for edible education. As the sun peeked through the morning mist, so too did a vibrant community of educators emerge from a shared love of growing, cooking, and learning.
Our two-day Summer Training was a celebration of the power of play, the magic of shared meals, and the transformative potential of garden classrooms. From the inspiring words of Bay Area poet Tess Taylor to hands-on workshops led by our experienced educators, the event was a rich tapestry of learning and connection.
As the days unfolded, what began as a gathering of individuals blossomed into a thriving community of peers. Laughter echoed through our garden classroom as educators discovered new games and activities to engage their students. Insights were shared, best practices were explored, and a collective sense of purpose deepened.
We were reminded of the enduring magic that happens when passionate educators come together. It is this spirit of collaboration and shared learning that fuels our work and inspires us to continue offering opportunities for growth and connection.
